Hangzhou Deploys First Robot Traffic Police Squad (杭州交警机器人中队上岗)
On May 1, 2026, Hangzhou officially deployed the nation’s first fully organized traffic management robot squad, named “Hangjing Zhixing” (杭警智行). The squad consists of 15 specialized robots that have begun active duty, marking a significant milestone in the application of robotics for urban traffic management and public safety. [1]

Shanghai Institute Advances Embodied AI Certification (上海机器人产业研究院推进具身智能认证)
The Shanghai Robot Industry Research Institute is playing a crucial role in empowering the high-quality development of the robotics industry. As a key national testing and certification center, the institute has established the China Robot Certification (CR) system. Recently, it has taken the lead in the embodied AI sector by advancing the first CR certifications for humanoid robots and integrated joint modules. The institute has also built the Pujiang X Embodied AI Standardized Dataset Platform to support industry-wide technological breakthroughs and standard verification. [2]
