Unitree Robotics has officially launched a new dual-arm humanoid robot, significantly lowering the entry barrier for embodied AI research and application with a starting price of 26,900 yuan. The new model features dual binocular vision, voice interaction capabilities, and offers between 15 to 31 degrees of freedom depending on the configuration. It supports both fixed base and mobile chassis deployment options. In related news at the 9th Digital China Summit, Unitree CEO Wang Xingxing announced that their robots have already broken the 10m/s speed barrier and are expected to surpass human sprint records within the next two to three months. China Mobile Unveils “Lingxi” Robot Family (中国移动)
State-owned telecommunications giant China Mobile has entered the robotics hardware space, unveiling its “Lingxi” robot family at the Digital China Summit. The lineup includes a humanoid robot priced at 229,000 yuan and a quadruped robot dog priced at 39,900 yuan. To support these hardware platforms, China Mobile developed the “VLA-RAIL” real-time asynchronous inference framework, which reportedly improves autonomous execution efficiency by 1.5 times compared to manual control. The robots are also equipped with the “Taoyu” navigation system, designed to handle complex indoor and outdoor environments. [3]

The Chinese embodied AI sector is experiencing unprecedented investment growth in 2026. According to recent data, the sector saw 122 disclosed funding events totaling approximately 34.5 billion yuan by April 10 alone. When including undisclosed rounds, the total number of funding events reached 269, averaging more than two investments per day.
