Robotics
Zhiyuan Robotics spins off a dexterous hand developer that immediately hits unicorn status, while Deep Robotics and Leju Robotics both get their IPO applications accepted. Meanwhile, Shanghai sets a massive target to deploy 100,000 humanoid robots in factories by 2030, and Huaweike breaks ground on a facility capable of producing 30 million electronic skins annually.
Funding & IPOs
Zhiyuan Robotics Spinoff AGILINK Reaches $1B Valuation (智元机器人)
AGILINK (临界点), a dexterous hand developer spun off from Zhiyuan Robotics in January 2026, just closed a new funding round of several hundred million RMB. This pushes their valuation past the $1 billion mark. Former Tencent Robotics X core member Xiong Kun leads the team. They’ve already delivered over 8,000 dexterous hands and 10,000 grippers, racking up 50,000 hours of real-world operation data in industrial and logistics settings. [1]
Deep Robotics STAR Market IPO Accepted (云深处)
Hangzhou-based Deep Robotics, known for their quadruped robots, had its STAR Market IPO application accepted by the Shanghai Stock Exchange. They are looking to raise 2.503 billion RMB. They reported their first profit in 2025 with a net income of 28.68 million RMB on 337 million RMB in revenue. With over 5,500 robots delivered, their power grid inspection solutions are clearly driving the commercialization push. [2]
Leju Robotics ChiNext IPO Accepted (乐聚机器人)
Leju Robotics had its IPO application accepted by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange for the ChiNext board. They are the first company to apply under the newly activated fourth listing standard for ChiNext. Backed by Tencent and Shenzhen Capital Group, Leju plans to raise 2.6 billion RMB. They reported 258 million RMB in revenue for 2025 and ranked second globally in full-size bipedal humanoid robot shipments. [3]
Production & Policy
Huaweike Breaks Ground on 10M+ Unit Robot E-Skin Base (华威科)
Hubei Huaweike Intelligent Technology has started construction on a flexible intelligent sensor production base in Gedian. The 150 million RMB facility uses their own roll-to-roll printing equipment. Phase one starts production in October 2026, and they expect annual capacity to top 30 million units by 2027. Huaweike already controls over 70% of the market for humanoid robot “electronic skin,” supplying major players like Zhiyuan and Agilbot. [4]
Shanghai Targets 100,000 Humanoid Robots in Factories by 2030 (上海市)
Shanghai just set a massive target: deploy 100,000 humanoid robots in factories by the end of 2030. They also want an 80% penetration rate of intelligent agents in large-scale industrial enterprises. This policy shift is huge. It moves the focus from just building robots to actually using them, positioning Shanghai as a global hub for humanoid robot commercialization. [5]
