Premier Li Qiang Inspects Beijing Robotics Centers (李强在北京调研)
Premier Li Qiang visited the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center and Xiaomi Auto Technology. He noted that intelligent robots, integrating large models, high-end manufacturing, and new materials, are an important carrier for the fusion of AI and advanced manufacturing. Li called for strengthening basic research and core technology breakthroughs, building high-level data training grounds, and accelerating breakthroughs in complete machines, key components, and intelligent decision and control systems. He also encouraged government departments and state-owned enterprises to open up scenarios to support scaled application of intelligent robots. [1]

Global Capital Pours into Chinese Robotics (全球资本重仓中国机器人)
Foreign investment in China’s robotics sector is surging, with disclosed funding in the first quarter of 2026 exceeding 30 billion RMB. International capital, including Saudi Arabia’s Prosperity7, Singapore’s Temasek, Samsung, Bain Capital, Goldman Sachs, and UBS, is adopting a “barbell strategy”—investing in early-stage embodied AI brains in the primary market while heavily buying listed core component leaders in the secondary market. Nineteen out of over 200 Chinese embodied intelligence companies have received overseas investment. [2]

Matrix Super Intelligence Launches MATRIX-3 Flagship Humanoid (矩阵超智发布MATRIX-3)
Matrix Super Intelligence (矩阵超智) unveiled its MATRIX-3 flagship humanoid robot at the AIDAY2026 event. The 170cm, 65kg robot features a full-stack self-developed drive system designed for high-load industrial operations. It is equipped with the WAVE physical intelligence model, which enables “zero-shot generalization” and a “failure learning loop.” The company also announced the opening of its MFH Super Intelligence Factory in Shanghai Zhangjiang, with the capacity to deliver 5,000 units this year and a target of 100,000 units by the first half of 2027. Shandong Expressway Group has established the Shandong Provincial Low-Altitude Economy Development Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 200 million RMB. Based in Jinan, the company’s business scope includes aviation operation support services and intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle sales. This move marks Shandong Expressway’s entry into specialized, entity-based operations in the LAE sector. [1]
CATL Partners with Xiamen on LAE and Zero-Carbon Tech (宁德时代)
CATL (宁德时代) has deepened its strategic cooperation with Xiamen City. The partnership focuses on three main areas: building a high-performance battery production base, collaborating with Fengfei Aviation on eVTOL operations, and advancing frontier technology R&D. The goal is to create a closed-loop industry ecosystem from scenario-driven operations to fleet scaling and infrastructure networking. [2]
