Round-up of the most critical robotics & LAE news from the past 24 hours
Robotics
The industry’s competitive structure has sharpened into a clear two-tier hierarchy: Unitree and Zhiyuan at the top, while a second tier of eight companies race to establish defensible positions in specialized niches. Meanwhile, Fuzhou is making a calculated bet on differentiated positioning.

“Dual Oligopoly + Eight Challengers”: Unitree and Zhiyuan Claim 80% of Domestic Shipments (行业格局)
The embodied intelligence sector has solidified into what experts are calling a “dual oligopoly leading, eight challengers following” structure. Unitree Robotics (宇树科技) and Zhiyuan Robot (智元机器人) together account for approximately 80% of domestic shipments, forming a first tier defined by proven mass-production capability and demonstrated profitability. Unitree has committed to expanding humanoid robot annual production capacity to 75,000 units, and its founder Wang Xingxing has set a 2026 shipment target of 10,000 to 20,000 units, more than doubling the 5,500+ units shipped in 2025. Zhiyuan, meanwhile, completed the rollout of its 10,000th Expedition A3 general-purpose embodied robot at the end of March 2026 and reported 2025 revenues of 1.05 billion RMB, which it claims is the fastest any Chinese robotics company has reached that revenue level. In the second tier, Xingdong Era (星动纪元) leads on high-dynamic motion control with a globally first WorldArena ranking; Fourier Intelligence (傅利叶智能) dominates medical rehabilitation; Lingchu Intelligence (灵初智能) has built the sector’s largest human-data pretraining pipeline; and Limx Dynamics (逐际动力) closed a 200 million USD B round at a 7.2 billion RMB valuation on the strength of its all-terrain traversal capabilities. Fuzhou Bets on “Fuzhou Chip” and Marine Scenarios to Carve a Differentiated Humanoid Robot Niche (福州人形机器人)
Fuzhou is pursuing a deliberate differentiation strategy in the national humanoid robot race, anchoring its industrial cluster around two assets no other city can replicate: the Rockchip (瑞芯微) RV and RK series chips and the city’s extensive marine industrial base. Zhiyuan Robot’s Fujian subsidiary, Fujian Jufu Technology (福建具福科技), has established operations in Fuzhou New Area with an explicit mandate to use Fujian’s textile, footwear, lithium battery, and photovoltaic manufacturing clusters as live testing grounds for its robots. On the marine side, Fuzhou has already deployed the “Shenlong No. 1” underwater robot in the Huangwanyu national marine ranch demonstration zone, and Mawei Shipyard’s welding operations are undergoing intelligent transformation with climbing sandblasting and painting robots already active on vessels. The city government has announced plans to establish a dedicated robotics government guidance fund with a “fault-tolerance and exemption” mechanism designed to encourage investment in early-stage, small, and hard-technology companies, while also pushing local universities to add robotics-related programs to address the talent gap. LAE
Beijing CHITEC Science Expo Showcases New-Generation LAE Hardware (北京科博会)
The 28th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (北京科博会, CHITEC) is currently underway with the LAE sector featuring prominently. For example, Tianjin Feima Robot Technology’s latest V600 fixed-wing UAV has made an appearance, showing off its flight endurance of 3 hours and 1:500 image-control-free mapping at centimeter-level positioning accuracy. Additionally, Beijing Qingchuan Yichuang Technology exhibited a 20-kilogram-class hydrogen fuel cell multirotor drone capable of over 2 hours of endurance under a 5-kilogram payload. The most attention-grabbing exhibit though has been the “Yueji” (月季) integrated eVTOL from Zhifei Automotive (Hebei) Technology. Roughly the size of a standard passenger car, it requires no land-to-air conversion and is currently completing a scaled prototype in preparation for imminent test flights. [1]
