Shenzhen Metro Deploys World’s First Autonomous Delivery Robots (深圳地铁)
Delivery robots have begun operating on the Shenzhen Metro. A collaboration between Vanke subsidiary Wanwei Logistics and Shenzhen Metro, the system utilizes idle depot space to pre-store goods. The robots, featuring an arctic tern cartoon design, board Line 2 trains during off-peak hours, transfer between stations, and deliver goods to 7-Eleven stores located within the metro network. An AI dispatch algorithm plans optimal delivery times and routes, transforming the rail system from a pure passenger network into a commercial logistics node. [1]

Shenzhen Police Deploy 24-Hour Drone “Sentinels” (深圳公安)
Shenzhen has established China’s first Low-Altitude Police Support Brigade, deploying drone “sentinels” for 24-hour city security and emergency response. With 200 drone nests across the city, the system boasts a response time of 3-5 minutes, often arriving faster than motorcycle police. The drones utilize AI models to automatically identify traffic violations and abnormal events, conducting full-process evidence collection without human intervention. In a recent case, thermal imaging drones located a missing hiker on a cliff within 15 minutes, facilitating a successful rescue. [1]
Drone Delivery Network Expands in Rural Fujian (无人机物流)
Fujian Province's Minqing County has built out a mountain drone delivery network designed to solve the "last mile" problem for remote villages. The county has constructed standardized drone landing pads in villages including Meixiong and Meiyang in Xiongjiang Township, forming a "10-minute flight service circle" that cuts delivery times by over 30 minutes compared to road transport. A digital platform tracks drone positions and delivery progress in real time, while state volunteer teams liaise with elderly residents to collect orders and help them place requests via mobile phone. The network is currently serving over 1,800 elderly residents. [2]
