Robotics
Beijing’s Linkerbot targets a 6 billion valuation in its next funding round. Instead of taking jobs, looks like robots may actually.. create jobs? A new profession is emerging that could result in 1 million+ job positions.
Funding & Industry Deployments
Linkerbot Targets $6 Billion Valuation in Upcoming Funding Round (灵巧手)
Beijing-based Linkerbot, a leading developer of dexterous robotic hands, is reportedly targeting a $6 billion valuation in its next funding round. This comes shortly after the company closed a “Series B+” round that valued the unicorn at $3 billion. The rapid doubling of its valuation target reflects the intense capital interest and accelerated development pace within China’s specialized robotics component sector. [1]
“Humanoid Robot Enlightenment Teacher” Emerges as New Profession (人形机器人启蒙老师)
The push for embodied intelligence has given rise to a new profession in China: the “humanoid robot enlightenment teacher.” Young workers are performing physical demonstrations to generate the massive amounts of real-world training data required for humanoid robots to learn complex tasks. It’s projected that this new field could eventually create over one million job positions, highlighting the human labor currently required to train the next generation of autonomous systems. [2]

LAE
The NDRC highlights the Shenzhen-Dongguan cross-city drone logistics network, which has already accumulated nearly 50,000 flights and delivered over 200,000 orders. China Unicom showcases a host of hardware and software solutions enabling real-world UAV use-cases. “Scan-to-Fly” pilot zones open in Chengdu and Mianyang.
International Expansion & Infrastructure
NDRC Highlights Shenzhen-Dongguan Cross-City Drone Cargo Route (国家发改委)
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently published a series of typical application cases for the low-altitude economy, prominently featuring the Shenzhen-Dongguan cross-city drone logistics network. The route, which tightly integrates with the manufacturing supply chains of the two cities, has accumulated nearly 50,000 flights and delivered over 200,000 orders. The drone service has improved delivery times by more than 80% compared to traditional road transport, demonstrating the tangible economic benefits of LAE infrastructure in the Greater Bay Area. [1]
China Unicom Showcases LAE Digital Infrastructure (中国联通)
At the 9th Digital China Summit in Fuzhou, China Unicom demonstrated its comprehensive “11SN” capability framework designed to serve as the digital foundation for the low-altitude economy. The framework includes a low-altitude intelligent network, a computing data base, a low-altitude security system, and support for numerous industry applications. The telecom giant showcased its hardware and software solutions, including airborne networked terminals and ad-hoc network systems, which are currently being applied in police drone operations, emergency rescue, and low-altitude logistics. Sichuan Launches Second Batch of “Scan-to-Fly” Pilot Zones (四川”扫码飞”)
Starting May 4, Sichuan Province activated the second batch of pilot zones for its “Scan-to-Fly” (扫码飞) drone management mini-program, releasing approximately 67,000 square kilometers of additional airspace across Chengdu, Pengzhou, Mianyang, Luzhou, and other cities. The system allows users to scan a drone’s QR code to complete airspace queries, flight reporting, navigation, and insurance in a single flow, with approvals averaging just two minutes. Two zones — Chengdu’s Qinglong Lake and Mianyang’s Bajia Yan — opened during the May Day holiday, with the remaining pilot zones set to come online by the end of May. [3]
